The Magic Millions Gold Coast 2YO Sale Trophy will headline the 11 race card set down for decision at PRTC on Sunday.

Local trainers Stephen Cook, KF Wong and KL Chong have been regular buyers from the MM Gold Coast 2YOs In Training Sale in recent years with several of those buys developing into handy performers.

A couple of stand outs from this sale include BLACK AND WHITE, who went on to win the 2015 Malaysia 3YO Championship and RELAU STAR, a winner of 8 races and was a bargain buy of $AUD25,000 at the 2016 sale.

Recent winners CENTURY WORLD and SMART EAGLE plus handy 4yo PURPLE RAIN are also graduates from this sale.

Magic Millions have donated a free air ticket (economy class) to the owner of the winning horse to attend the MM Gold Coast 2YO Sale on 14-15 October.  There will be 269 lots going under the hammer in the 2019 sale over the two days.

The race itself (Race 7) could be dominated by the two mares, STAR GENIUS and AUD DOLLAR.

STAR GENIUS has been a revelation for the inform Kevin Coetzee stable rising from the upper echelon of Class 4 company at the commencement of the racing year. The mare has scored twice this season but has displayed her true potential by finishing second at her past two outings in Group One company. Having started at long odds in the Perak Gold Vase, STAR GENIUS closed off well finishing 1.3 lengths behind Volcanic General before putting in a similar display in the Penang Sprint Trophy behind Hatta, beaten 2 lengths.

AUD DOLLAR has risen rapidly through the grades also and the KL visitor has been most consistent. The 8yo drew gate 15 in the 1600m Selangor Gold Cup and utilized her early pace to lead before weakening over the concluding stages. At this stage of her career the mile journey was a fraction too far and looks better suited dropping back to the 1200m on Sunday.

SOUTHERN MAN looks a genuine trifecta chance based on his placing here last Saturday over the mile. WORLD HARMONY should strip much fitter following his first run for the Coetzee camp while D’GREAT CONQUEROR has not won for over two years but is a three time Group One place getter and should not be left out of calculations.

D’GREAT BULLET has been competitive since his Class 4 win back in June and cannot be underestimated in this grade. Last start winner, CROWN STAR looks a place chance on the upgrade.
